Welcome to the BIOZONE Science Lab orientation

Virtual Lab Instructions:

In this simulation, you can move around and look at the equipment and features of a modern school science lab. The lab features a lot of equipment that would appear in a school chemistry lab, with other materials added for biology and earth sciences. Currently you are not able to interact with the equipment, simply move around and observe the lab environment.

There are also extra items of scientific apparatus that would only be found in a research lab or college lab (e.g. bioreactor, PCR machine).

Interactions: Navigate (move) around the lab using arrow keys or WASD keys on your keyboard. Look around using your mouse.

1. Read the Lab Rules on the notice board in the Lab.
   (next to the teacher’s front bench)
2. Can you spot 8 lab safety rules being broken?
   (HINT: look on bench tops as well as the floor)
3. Can you find up to 12 items of safety equipment that reduce or respond to hazards in the lab?
   (HINT: look on bench tops, walls, ceiling, as well as the floor)?

Mobile Devices: This web browser version is currently not configured for mobile devices such as tablets (e.g. iPad) and smartphones. We do intend to release a version soon that will make that possible.

Computer App Versions: You are able to download an App version for Windows or Mac computers:

MacOS users may get the error “App can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”.

In order to bypass this error you will need to right-click (or control-click) BIOZONE Lab VR 2023 MacOS.app

Click Open and then Open again at the popup box.
